I have been a Newark resident and business owner for nine years. The reason for moving to Newark was that I perceived it as a thriving large town.
My business is successful and I have since opened a second, this is because I believe, that we as a town, are growing with our economy.
I would like to go into schools and work with the infants to educate them on a better environment with growing plants, flowers and vegetables. It gives them a focus and stability in life.
Newark has many volunteer groups, of which I have joined and feel very proud to serve as chairman. These groups have won prestigious awards, Gold for Newark in Bloom/The Wharf which brings vital tourists and visitors, again to boost our economy.
The Signal box was another campaign I regarded important, consequently, we manage to liaise with the Railway for it to stay and be included to our heritage.
Newark derived from New Work and I am a new Conservative worker for the people of Newark. I am very passionate about our community, heritage, environment and riverside.
I see myself as a pro-active, determined person who will do her best for our Town.
I would like to think I have a reputation for getting results.
