Linda has lived in the Ward for 19 years and has, throughout that time, worked in support of local communities and community services. This follows a career in service delivery, including NHS management.
Linda is Chair of the Patient Participation Group for Collingham Medical Centre, has played a key role in establishing a new ‘befriending service’ for patients, fundraises for St. Helena’s Church and Parochial Church Council, and was heavily involved in creating South Scarle Community Centre. Linda is especially passionate about using her knowledge and experience to campaign to retain local healthcare services, and the transport needed to access them. She is also determined to support local groups and village halls to provide and sustain activities for people of all ages. In her own words: “I will be visible and accessible all year round to anyone who wants to get in touch. I do what I say I am going to do and want to be a strong local voice, working hard, to keep our village communities connected”.
