I have had the honour of being your local Conservative Councillor for the last 16 years and your County Councillor for the last 6 years and I have enjoyed working with many of you in trying to solve your problems and improve the local facilities, from pot holes fly tipping and local broadband, as chairman of the Leisure and Environment committee at N&SDC I have been trying to encourage better recycling and reduce the contamination of our wheelie bins as well as overseeing the new enforcement officers who are helping to stop anti-social behaviour in our area. I enjoy attending local parish council meetings and meeting many residents to discuss any issues they have, having lived and worked in Gonalston all of my life I do know the problems we face in small rural villages and I am keen to listen and help anyone who lives here, I also enjoy having a pint and meeting residents in our local pubs and congratulate the residents of Thurgarton on reopening the Red Lion and wish the residents of Hoveringham every success in reopening the Reindeer inn I feel local facilities like these are a great asset to our villages,
Flooding
Although we are enjoying some dry weather at the moment I am always working with the Environment agency Local drainage board and Notts cc as the lead flood authority to improve flood defences and improve local drains making sure regular maintenance and cleaning is carried out.
Fly tipping
To try and report and get it removed as quickly as possible
