I was born in Newark and spent most of my early and teenage years here and in Southwell. After attending university, I spent 22 years living and working in London. I moved back to the area, specifically Balderton 4 years ago and have been a Parish Councillor for 3 years, with the last year as Vice Chairman. An active member of the community, I have helped introduce campaigns such as the ‘Report It’ campaign and ‘Safer Cleaner Greener’ and have been involved in the new Community Café due to reopen on Coronation Street playing fields.
I am passionate about the local environment and the services on offer to our residents, one particular area of passion is supporting the elderly, specifically those with dementia and Alzheimer’s and regularly spend time visiting with residents of the care home in Balderton
