I have a wife and 2 children aged 10 and 12. I was born and grew up in Essex and I moved to Fernwood 14 years ago and have lived there ever since. I have been a NSDC councillor representing Farndon and Fernwood ward for the past 4 years and was formally a parish councillor on Fernwood Parish Council. I work as a free lance IT consultant, currently working in the NHS where I have spent over 5 years working in total. I believe that local politics puts people first, Newark is a fast developing town and it is important to get things such as health services, road infrastructure, public transport, schools, shops and sports and leisure facilities right. Whilst ensuring villages such as Farndon and Elston with their own identity, protecting them from over development. It is our legacy to future generations.
As well as my work I am a keen runner, cyclist and triathlete competing in various events around the country. I have also recently rekindled my artistic talents and have done several oil paintings and sketches, you my have seen me recently in the Buttermarket. I also volunteer as a First Aider for a well known emergency medical charity. I achieve this inspite of being registered as visually impaired. I very much hope to be serving the residents of Farndon and Fernwood ward for the next 4 years.
